LDG Development expands presence in Austin Texas with completion of Harris Branch Senior

(Austin, Texas–) Representatives from Austin’s Housing Authority—City of Austin (HACA) and LDG Development joined to celebrate the completion of Harris Branch Senior. The $33 million development provides 216 units of affordable housing units to seniors or those 55 and older who earn up to 60 percent of Austin’s area median income.
Harris Branch Senior offers 1 and 2-bedroom apartment homes and is part of a multigenerational community that offers separate 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units for working families.
This energy efficient development is conveniently located on 6 acres and provides residents several amenities including a furnished clubhouse, a business center, a community garden and pool and much, much more. Monthly rental rates for Harris Branch senior range between $847-$1015. The development opened in April and, as of September, is 40 percent leased and 30 percent occupied.
Harris Branch Senior was developed in partnership with HACA which provided 4 percent tax credits and HUD financing issued by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.
Harris Branch Senior is LDG Development’s third development in the Austin area.
